Positioning the Mouth

The mouth is a different story. When older people have fake teeth, they are to be placed into the mouth before embalming. This will keep the lips from sinking into the mouth.

If the fake teeth are not given to the embalmer, the embalmer will need to place balls of cotton into the cheeks and in front of the gums. This will push the lips out, but not out too far. Number one rules is to make sure the lips make the person have a not to sad but not to happy positioning.

Prositionings the Eyes

When the body passes, the eyes may be open or closed. The eyes will remain open until properly closed. Small and clear contact with tiny rigs on one side are used to hold the eye shut.

They are place directly over the eye ball. Then The eye lid is to be pulled over the contact.Once the eye is closed, you must make sure the contact is centered and in proper positioning.

Draining the Human Body

Before being able to embalm a body, the body must be flushed out. Drain the body,  right internal jugular vein must be cut open.

Using a instrument that is stuck right into the bell button. This piece is used to drain all the internal organs. When twisted around in a circle, the sharp instrument will cut open all the organs to drain. Then need to remove all of the internal organs and lets them soak in a powerful embalming solution for a few hours.

Cut the main artery right by the collar bone. This artery is where all the fluids are injected. Pushing the fluids through the veins and arteries to make sure the blood is all out.

Inject the pre-injection solution under closed drainage via the right common carotid artery. It will be  up to the individual embalmer to decide whether to use a drain tube or forceps.
